Facebook one of the most used social media platform used worldwide. We use it to communicate with friends, share photos, and engage with a large number of audiences through various branded/celebrity/meme pages. If you are a notable person or even own a small business, you can get your Facebook page verified so that people can differentiate between a fake account and your authentic account. Using the Verification badge you can also avoid losing your followers and you can promote your business more efficiently.

So, Let’s see how you too can verify your Facebook Page.

1. Verification Badges

There are two types of verification badges:-

  • Blue verification badge:

It looks like a small white checkmark in a blue circle. If you are/represent a public figure, media company, or large brand, you can get the blue verification badge.

The pages or profiles without a cover photo, a profile photo, a name that follows Facebook’s guidelines, and posts will not be granted a blue verification badge.

  • Grey verification badge:

It looks like a grey checkmark in a grey outlined circle. It is easier to obtain. If you are a smaller or local business/organization, you can apply for the gray verification badge.
